The Average Payment Plan can help reduce your high bills in summer and winter and make it easier to manage your monthly bill. The plan allows you to pay a monthly bill on the average cost of your most recent 12-month period. The amount due may vary slightly month to month but if you were signed up for Average Payment, your bill for this month would have only been Label and then every bill in the coming months would be close to that same amount. It’s not too late to sign up for your Label bill.

In many areas, Westar Energy power lines are buried underground. Before digging, planting trees, setting fence posts or excavation, visit Kansas One-Call or call 811. Westar Energy underground power line locations will be marked at no charge, please give two-days notice.
Remember, that little tree you plant now will someday grow to be a giant and could interfere with overhead power lines. Make sure to plant the right tree in the right place.
In some areas, transformers and electrical cabinets are mounted at or near ground level. These should be handled only by professional utility service personnel. If you notice evidence of tampering or unsecured transformers or electrical cabinets, notify us immediately.
For your safety, consider utility poles and electric substations “off-limits.” Notify us if you see evidence of tampering or unsecured substations.
