The Average Payment Plan can help reduce your high bills in summer and winter and make it easier to manage your monthly bill. The plan allows you to pay a monthly bill on the average cost of your most recent 12-month period. The amount due may vary slightly month to month but if you were signed up for Average Payment, your bill for this month would have only been Label and then every bill in the coming months would be close to that same amount. It’s not too late to sign up for your Label bill.

The Westar Energy Green Team completes 50 to 70 projects per year on weekends and evenings. The Green Team collaborates with conservation groups, agencies and schools in enhancing and fostering an understanding of the Kansas environment. The following is an overview of the projects we participate in.

The Haysville Pavilion holds 75-100 people for field days, open houses and other educational events. The center supports the coordination of the Kansas Forest Service's Community Forest Program, which is focused on educating the public and community leaders on the value of healthy trees in our state. Green Team members framed and decked the pavilion from old power poles and donated materials. Learn more at KansasForests.org.
Westar routinely partners with grade-, middle- and high-schoolers to plant vegetation at their school properties. Green Team members share with youths the benefits of trees, proper planting techniques and the importance of planting the right tree in the right place.
