The Average Payment Plan can help reduce your high bills in summer and winter and make it easier to manage your monthly bill. The plan allows you to pay a monthly bill on the average cost of your most recent 12-month period. The amount due may vary slightly month to month but if you were signed up for Average Payment, your bill for this month would have only been Label and then every bill in the coming months would be close to that same amount. Interacting with customers on the front line, meter readers work outdoors year round in inclement Kansas weather. They follow an assigned route to read gas and electric meters for the purpose of customer billing. They also inspect meters for signs of tampering or fraud.
These professionals are responsible for doing what it takes to safely keep the lights on and working on complex electrical systems that power our homes and businesses. Some of the skills required for these jobs include climbing poles and towers, operating machinery and working around energized conductors in all types of conditions. These folks are responsible for testing and installation of electric meters. The skills required for this job include the ability to use diagnostic equipment, safely troubleshoot electrical conditions and work in all conditions and surroundings.
Cablesplicers are responsible for the maintenance and construction of underground electric distribution systems and substations. They install and splice cables, install electrical equipment and interpret circuit diagrams. Work is often in close quarters and underground.
Some positions may require employees to be on-call or work outside of normal working hours.
If conditions are safe, employees may be required to work in inclement weather.
