Westar Energy engineers are exposed to a full range of technical challenges in the areas of power generation, transmission, substation, distribution and construction for virtually all disciplines of engineering. The majority of work on engineering assignments at Westar includes both office and field work resulting in real world problem-solving experiences. Engineers at Westar will work closely with other technical experts in each discipline giving additional insight into the challenges of working in the electric utility environment.
