We're growing renewable generation to be more than 30% of the energy homes and businesses use.
We provide renewable energy that is available and affordable for everyone. At the end of 2016, we will have the renewable energy equivalent of nearly 1/3 of all the energy used by the homes, farms and businesses we serve. When coupled with our nuclear power, the amount of emission-free electricity goes to over 50%. Through Westar Wind, any customer can choose to have even more of their electricity come from clean, renewable, green energy. You can elect any additional amount up to 100% of your electricity coming from wind and for only a few additional dollars each month. You can find more about Westar Wind here.
