The Average Payment Plan can help reduce your high bills in summer and winter and make it easier to manage your monthly bill. The plan allows you to pay a monthly bill on the average cost of your most recent 12-month period. The amount due may vary slightly month to month but if you were signed up for Average Payment, your bill for this month would have only been Label and then every bill in the coming months would be close to that same amount. It’s not too late to sign up for your Label bill.

An important consideration when making your decision about rooftop solar is how this will affect your Westar bill. It will certainly decrease the amount of energy you use from Westar, so your monthly bill would decrease.
One thing to keep in mind as you decide what best meets your needs is that the rate structure for self-generation, which includes private solar, will change in the near future. If you base your decision on the rate structure as it is today, you will need to be aware of changes to those rates as they are approved by the Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC) in the future.
If you have any questions on how rates might change or for more information, let us know by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
