The amount due may vary slightly month to month but if you were signed up for Average Payment, your bill for this month would have only been Label and then every bill in the coming months would be close to that same amount. Topeka, Kan., March 4, 2015 – Westar Energy crews will respond Thursday to a call for help as Arkansas prepares for a predicted ice storm. Entergy Arkansas has reached out to Westar and other area utilities to assist with anticipated power outages and damage if the predicted weather hits.
Gathered from all over our service territory, 36 crew members, as well as 9 support personnel, will head to the Pine Bluff, Ark. area Thursday morning, March 5. The crews will report back regularly and Westar will provide updates on Facebook and Twitter to let friends and family know how things are progressing and when our crews will return.
Westar Energy is a member of the Midwest Mutual Assistance Group, which enables us to call upon neighboring utilities and their contractors to help restore service after a significant event such as a severe storm. In return, we assist neighboring utilities when they are in need. In the event of catastrophic damage utilities reach out for assistance from across the nation.
