HomeAudit Program

HomeAudit Pilot Program
Westar Energy customers who own a house 10 years or older can now assess its energy efficiency through the HomeAudit Pilot Program.
For $100, homeowners can have a professional $300 audit performed that will provide them with a customized Energy Conservation Plan. Participants are able to receive a $100 rebate on the cost of the audit if they provide receipts showing they implemented at least $100 in improvements recommended in the Energy Conservation Plan.
HomeAudit Benefits
Whether you plan to stay in your home another 10 years or put it on the market, a professional home energy audit can pinpoint measures to take to optimize energy savings, improve the comfort of your home and enable Westar to postpone power plant development to meet increasing demand.
A home energy audit can also promote personal safety by identifying carbon monoxide in your home. Professional energy auditors estimate that 10 percent of the audits they perform reveal carbon monoxide issues.
