The need for electricity in Kansas is steadily growing. For the first time in many years, Westar Energy is being challenged to invest in several projects to maintain reliable, affordable service for our customers.
Our energy plan to meet future demand includes investing in; renewable and new traditional-fueled generation, transmission projects, upgrading environmental controls at existing plants, and providing customers with the tools to be energy efficient.
