More than 2,400 employees working out of 50 serving offices keep the electric energy flowing every day, regardless of weather or season.
Westar Energy generates more than 27,000,000 megawatt-hours of electricity per year. Energy centers are strategically placed throughout our service territory, which covers about 10,130 square miles in east and east-central Kansas. Our 35,000 miles of transmission and delivery lines transport the electric energy to our more than 680,000 customers.
