Residential Builder "EFFICIENCY SMART PLUS" Home Program


Requirements

At least 1 or more of following building practices implemented:

  • OUTSIDE WALLS UTILIZE: Blown Cellulose wet or dry or Polly-Foam filling exterior wall cavities or Concrete using 2" expanded styrene as forms for ABOVE & BELOW GRADE walls or equivalent properties.



  • VARIABLE SPEED AIR HANDLED W/ 15 SEER HEAT PUMP



  • HIGHER EFFICIENT ELECTRIC WATER HEATING - Utilizing Solar panel with electric water heater or Water Heater Heat Pump.



  • LIGHTING: All recessed lights shall be in a self contained fixture with a zero clearance rating with a solid box covering the fixture if it is exposed in the attic. In addition, builder will provide CFL (Compact Fluorescent Light) bulbs for 25% of the lighting needs.



  • ZERO EMISSIONS REFRIGERANT - Heat pump utilizes R-410 refrigerant. It is also controlled with a set back thermostat..
