- The Oregon Trail Nature Park showcases, in microcosm, all the natural ecosystems of Kansas and borders the historic Oregon Trail along its southern edge.
- The park encompasses two ponds and three nature trails: The Sea of Grass Trail, Natural Neighbor Trail and Pond Trail. The trails acquaint visitors with the beauty of the Kansas prairie, wildlife, ponds and streams, and woodlands. A silo at the site showcases an original mural by local artist Cynthia Martin featuring immigrants traveling along the Oregon Trail, a Native American buffalo hunt and Kansas wildlife.
- The park also features a shelter house and amphitheater.
- The area is open daily for visitation from dawn to dusk.
